Tony Orlando & Dawn were privileged to join Bob Hope at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas in 1973 for their 1st live performance to welcome home the POW’s from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. About Tony Orlando
No entertainer can move and excite an audience like Tony Orlando. Tony has had huge success in all aspects of the industry; from the enormously popular Tony Orlando & Dawn variety show, which debuted in 1974 and ran for four seasons on CBS-TV. Along with Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent, Tony Orlando & Dawn became an international sensation. He starred in Barnum and Smokey Joe’s Café on Broadway.
The #1 Billboard Song of 1973 Tie A Yellow Ribbon ‘Round The Ole Oak Tree, has welcomed home POWs from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, the hostages from Iran and the troops from Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq. One of Tony Orlando’s passions is working with veterans and for over 20 years on Veterans Day, November 11th in Branson, he produced a special free show “Tony Orlando Yellow Ribbon Salute to Veterans” for veterans and their families.
Orlando remains one of America’s best-loved personalities. He has been a recipient of three American Music Awards, and a People’s Choice Award. For outstanding achievements to the entertainment industry Tony was named Entertainer of the Year in Las Vegas and Atlantic City and awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1990. The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills presented an exclusive and intimate conversation with the consummate entertainer on the occasion of his fiftieth anniversary in show business on September 29, 2010.

About Telma Hopkins
Telma Hopkins rose to prominence as a member of the 1970’s group Tony Orlando & Dawn. She also performed on the CBS-TV variety show Tony Orlando & Dawn from 1974 to 1976 along with Tony Orlando and Joyce Vincent.
Well known as a background singer on multiple Motown hits and working with legendary acts like The Four Tops, and Marvin Gaye. She also sang back up for Isaac Hayes and can be heard famously exclaiming “Shut your mouth!” on Hayes’ hit song Theme From Shaft.
In late 1970s, Telma began working as an actress, she made her acting debut playing Daisy in the ABC miniseries Roots” The Next Generations.
In 1979, Hopkins began playing roles on various sitcoms, including Bosom Buddies, Gimmie a Break! with Nell Carter and Family Matters. As lead actress, she starred on Getting By from 1993 to 1994. In later years, Telma was a regular cast member on Half & Half, and Are We There Yet? In 2014, she played Martin Lawrence’s mother on the FX sitcom Partners,
In 2016, she was cast as Jerrika Hinton’ mother in the ABC comedy pilot Toast produced by ShondaLand.
About Joyce Vincent
Joyce Vincent is originally from Detroit, Michigan the home of the Motown sound, and had the honor of recording back up vocals in the famed Motown Studio A in the 1960’s and 70s alongside Telma Hopkins.
She is recognized as one of the original members of Tony Orlando & Dawn and also rose to prominence in the 1970’s on the CBS-TV variety show, Tony Orlando & Dawn. She has been featured on hit singles like He Don’t Love You (Like I Love You), Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree, and Mornin’ Beautiful.
Through her musical associations, Joyce has had the opportunity to perform and record with some of entertainment’s best including Dionne Warwick, Freda Payne, and Smokey Robinson, just to mention a few. Today Joyce is proud to perform alongside Scherrie Payne and Lynda Laurence, Formerly of The Supremes!
