Saying what we’re all thinking has always been Sebastian Maniscalco‘s specialty. Except when he says it, it’s a whole lot funnier.

And in his most recent standup special “Aren’t You Embarrassed?”, the sophisticated comedian with the chiseled cheekbones gives us a hilarious reality check of the world we all find ourselves living in. The special spawned the Twitter hash tag #Aren’tYouEmbarrassed, with thousands of followers donating their take via social media, as well as appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers and Conan.

Continues to bring his witheringly sarcastic and exasperated take on modern behavior and etiquette, Sebastian takes on everything from selfies that he calls “lonelies” (“Do you know how alone you have to be to have 838 photos of yourself in your bathroom?”) to online restaurant reviews (“Who’s got the time to write an 18 page essay on asparagus?”) to airport check-ins (“I’m taking out a boot, a sock, toothpaste, does anyone know what two pounds is?”).

Maniscalco will return in 2016 with a new hour of skepticism while playing host at the Beacon Theatre May 7, 2016. His first memoir titled, “Where You Wanna Eat?” also expected in 2016, will explore Maniscalco’s most memorable dining experiences through his observations of human nature. The first glimpse at the table-side humor audiences can expect from Maniscalco in his memoir can be seen in January when he joins Jerry Seinfeld for “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee.”

Sebastian also makes several major motion picture appearances in 2016 including a voice-over role in the animated feature “Nut Job 2,” a New Line Feature comedy “The House” starring Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler (directed by Andrew Cohen), and in the independent drama “Cruise” directed by Rob Siegel and produced by Jeremy Renner.

In addition to touring North America and working on his forthcoming memoir, the 2014 American Comedy Award nominee for Best Club Comedian is busy producing “The Pete and Sebastian Show” podcast.
